I don't see a misc general discussion to put this at so I'm putting this here.
I was just going to go and put a flag on my hubby's grave, but decided at the last minute, to attend the Veterans Ceremony at Ft. Sam Houston and I was truly touched. It was a beautiful ceremony and I'm glad I went. Yes, it was hard at times especially when they played Amazing Grace with bagpipes for the wreath ceremony placement. But when they performed the gun salute and played taps... that did me in.
Please, don't feel shy, but next time you see a service member, please stop to tell them thank you. You don't know what a great feeling you will give them, to feel appreciated.
God Bless America
