It's the end of an emotional run for Julianne Hough and her partner Cody Linley, just one week before the "Dancing with the Stars" finale.
When Julianne unexpectedly had to leave the show for surgery, Cody was thrown for a loop, but held up well when paired with Edyta Sliwinska in the interim. Thanks to Julianne's speedy recovery, Team Blondie did get to dance together one last time this week--and she got to sing one of her new country songs on the show too!
Julianne writes in her exclusive blog on Fancast.com that she had a feeling they would be voted off--and that the judges had it in for Cody and haven't been nice to them all season.
Read on for the inside scoop from Julianne:
Hey, everyone, sorry for the late post. I've been incredibly busy today--and every day. Ha, ha.
So about last night. I don’t know what the judges were watching or thinking. I don’t know what they had a problem with. I think they simply had it in for Cody and didn’t want him to make the finals. I thought he did a great job. I went and watched the dances again and he was awesome. I thought he should have had much better scores and better comments.
Not that he needs any defense, but it was hard to learn two dances this week, on top of the fact it was the first week we were back together. He has been really emotional. That was apparent last week when we talked to Dr. Drew. Cody's also really tired. It’s been 13 weeks since we started this whole thing. He’s exhausted.
I just don't think the judges got it last night. You can tell, I can't figure out what they were looking at. I feel like they haven't been nice to us this whole season. Cody has been trying so hard. But he doesn’t seem to be able to anything right for the judges. I feel bad for him.
As for tonight, I’m nervous going into the show. I think it might be our last night. Cody’s 18 and this is probably the biggest thing he’s done. I think the opportunities are just going to flow to him. I think this is going to be a big thing in his life and his career. He’s done an awesome job. I don’t think he could’ve done anything more.
No matter what happens, I’m so proud of him.
Editor's note: Now that Julianne is out of the competition, she wants all her and Cody's fans to vote for her brother Derek and Brook now.
